A multimedia professional with in-depth experience of all aspects of computer-based learning and online publishing technologies, David has worked in the Websters Multimedia division of Websters International Publishers almost since its inception in 1994. Prior to that, he was Editorial Director for Dictionaries and Reference at Harrap Publishing Group and Consultant to BBC Enterprises. He spent his early career developing and producing new-generation audio-visual learning materials for the Linguaphone Institute, which he joined after completing postgraduate work that included a Certificate of Education from the University College of North Wales, Bangor and PhD studies at Brown University, Rhode Island, USA. He also has an MA from King's College, Cambridge, which he attended as an undergraduate.
Having set up much of the infrastructure of the Websters Multimedia business in London, his responsibilities now include program management of the company's UK and international localization projects (including Microsoft Encarta assets), recruitment and supervision of Websters' off-site editorial and production staff in MSN offices, and responsibility for the personnel, processes and technology required to ensure top-quality performance across all the Websters Multimedia businesses. He is a director of Websters France SAS and vice-president of Websters Multimedia Inc.
