Having gained a BSc from Warwick University in Accounting and Financial Management in 1979, Alan qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Mazars in 1982.
He left Mazars in 1988, having specialized in the audit of all aspects of Lloyd’s insurance to become Financial Controller of a Lloyd’s Broker.
In 1991 he joined FMCB Management Consultants Limited, becoming a Director in January 1994, where he worked for a wide range of clients, including nursing homes, opticians, hotels, golf course designers and, of course, Websters.
He joined Websters as Financial Controller and Company Secretary in February 1998, becoming Financial Director in May 1998. He become a Director of Websters France SAS in June 2001 and Websters Multimedia Inc. in June 2006.
Alan is responsible for all of the day-to-day financial, HR and legal functions in the UK and for all Websters' financial overseas operations.
