This position will be
responsible for creating exciting new features for Microsoft’s Bing search
engine in France. The two different
buckets of features and qualifications exemplified above are described in more
detail below. This role will spend
roughly 50% of their time on each feature. We are looking for a native French speaker with a good grasp of both
written and spoken English. The
successful candidate will fill a role as a vendor on a Websters’ long-term
contract working in-house at Microsoft’s Search Technology Centre in
Soho.
This
role is focused on the development of Bing’s Visual Search Galleries (see example
above) for the French market. This editor will determine which VS
galleries to build based on expressed and implied consumer needs, work with the
business development team to determine content providers for both Image
and Meta data, will develop the specifications for each galleries including
meta data and query refinements and maintenance plan, and will coordinate
with our quality assurance team to ensure the delivery of high quality
galleries.
This
role is focused on assisting in the development of all aspects of Bing’s
categorized search in the French market. This editor will help determine
which categorized search features to implement for which queries based on
expressed and implied consumer needs, work with the business development team
to determine content providers for data and images, will work with individuals
across multiple markets to determine the best local solutions and work with the
engineering and quality assurance teams to ensure the delivery of high quality
galleries.
Summary

· French language (native speaker) and deep French cultural knowledge
· Editorial experience in a web/internet environment a plus
· Familiarity with XML a plus
· Self starter and self managed
· Detail oriented
· Excellent technical writing skills
· Good communication skills
· Knowledge of image rights and using photo libraries
